Your driver will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel or riad. Depending on your arrival time, you will have the opportunity to go sightseeing.
You set off early in the morning with your driver and the journey continues over the peaks of the High Atlas. We then drive down over the Anti Atlas into the impressive, picturesque Draa Valley, where the Draa River has carved its way spectacularly through the wild, dry stone desert. Overnight stay in Mhamid.
Today our journey continues on camelback. We meet our escort team and after the camels are loaded, we continue on the rocking back of our desert ships or on foot through the desert landscapes to the dunes of Sidi Naji. There, near the sanctuary of Sidi Naji, you will spend the night in a tent or under the stars next to the dunes.
Like the nomads, you get up with the sunrise, then the camels are loaded and the desert hike continues through the sand dunes of the Sahara. In the afternoon you reach Erg Ez-Zahar, where lunch and tea under the shade of a tamarisk tree are particularly delicious. Refreshed, we continue into the Sahara until we set up camp in the middle of the desert in the evening, surrounded by majestically high sand dunes.
An easy hike through the golden dune landscape with our dromedaries, we cross the dry riverbed of the "Wadi Draa", which can become the longest river in Morocco after heavy but rare rainfall. In the evening, we sit relaxed around the warming fire, bake bread together in the sand and are treated to a delicious Moroccan dinner by our cook. We camp in the dunes again.
We hike with the camel caravan towards Erg Chegaga, the largest dunes in the Moroccan desert. The trail leads through various beautiful desert landscapes. We arrive at Erg Chegaga in the afternoon. Climb the highest dune - Erg Laabibdlia (300 meters high) to get the most beautiful view of the sunset overlooking the seemingly endless sea of dunes. We camp in the dunes.
In the morning you say goodbye to your escort team and the dromedaries. You continue by jeep via Foum Zguid to Taznakht. The town is also known for its saffron cultivation, artistic Berber carpets and beautiful weavings. After a long and varied drive over the impressive High Atlas Mountains, you will reach Marrakech in the evening, where our tour ends.
The next day we will drive you to the airport. City tours are also possible by arrangement.
